Goodbye Olakira Feb 13/14

Sadly the time came to day goodbye to our temporary home in the Ngorogoro Reserve and the Olakira camp.  After the excitement of  seeing the lions in the late morning, we took our last evening game drive and revisited the Wildebeest lake crossing.

Upon our return to camp we discovered that a surprise "sundowner" had been planned for the departing guests.  This was beside a lovely lake which gave a great view of the setting sun which was accompanied by a cold drink and nibbles. There were hippopotamus in the lake and they came close to the shore at which we were positioned.

Then we were off to the camp for supper and packing.  We were able to sleep in untill 0730 the next morning!  We said goodbye to our great team, Hatibu our guide, Alisante our butler and Jackman our tent steward. We took the short drive to the airport where we borded our plane and made our way to the next camp...Nimiri Plains.
