The route to Picton is spectacular! It follows the Marlborough Sounds giving beautiful views along incredibly windy roads. We stopped several times along the way...most notably at the Pelorus River. This is a very picturesque locale and has been made even more famous as it was used in the filming of the hobbit! (The floating barrel scene)
