Last Day In Wales

The day was overcast and rainy and our plan to take the train to the summit of Mount Snowdon didn't seem to be practical. We decided instead to explore Snodonia a bit further.

We soon found ourselves in another valley, alongside a pretty lake and we noted that there were many parks cars alongside the road. It soon became clear that there were hikers on the many trails on and near the lake. We decided to see if we could take advantage of the relatively flat trails around the lake.k

Soon after we started though it became clear that the paths led up the hill sides, and when we spied a helicopter performing a rescue on the hillside. Then we noticed rock climbing enthusiasts close by. We decided the paths were more challenging than we thought and turned back.

Then we took our time to get to a local tea house which is well known because of its age and the ivy which covers it.

Finally we made our way to Llandudno, where we visited the headland which gave spectacular views of the coast and the ocean beyond.
